The mission of Route 56 is to reach 5th and 6th graders with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, connect 5th and 6th graders with God and others and empower them to be leaders and Christ followers who impact their generation.  We believe that following Jesus is life’s ultimate adventure.  We also know that this adventure is not easy to navigate alone.  It is our desire to come along side students as they survey the route, negotiate the turns, and experience the journey that will begin to set their course into adulthood.

Route 56 leaders, Danny and Christy Hopper have been involved in the lives of this generation for almost a decade. They express a passion for 5th and 6th grade students to find their "global positioning" in their generation and begin to align themselves with God. As students begin to recognize the course that God desires for them, the ministry of Route 56 illuminates the road maps, warning signs, and traffic signals that help keep them on course. The ministry of Route 56 is a ministry that uses God's word in real life applications to help this tween age group make Godly choices, and learn accountability for the choices that they will make along their route through middle school and beyond. The mission statement for Route 56 comes from Matthew 7:13-14 which says " Broad is the road that leads to destruction.... Narrow is the road that leads to life..."  The ministry of Route 56 equips these young students with God's road map to help them stay on the " Narrow road ".
