At Conway First Church of the Nazarene, we have a mission. Bringing people to Christ -- taking Christ to the world by... Lifting Christ, Loving People, and Living God’s Word. The ministries of our church are designed to enable us to carry out our mission to our community and around the world. There is much to do.
For Conway First Church of the Nazarene to carry out its mission, many must be involved in ministries, for without its ministries, Conway First Church of the Nazarene would just be an empty building at the corner of Faulkner and Scott Streets in Conway, Arkansas.
At CFN, ministries provide our congregation with opportunities to take an active role in the implementation of our mission. So, you ask, what are these ministry opportunities? Each of our ministries supports at least one of the canons of our mission statement. They fall under four broad categories of Worship, Education, Support and Operations.
Worship, Education and Support easily correspond to the points of our mission statement. The fourth area, Operations, encompasses the Administrative and Maintenance functions of the church.
Worship: This area of ministry is composed of all the activities necessary to conduct our congregational and small group worship services.
Education: This is the area of ministry that encompasses the Discipleship Ministry activities of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Studies and Quizzing.
Support: This area of ministry includes inreach, outreach, congregational care and pastoral care.
Operations: This area of ministry encompasses the maintenance of facilities and equipment, and the business activities necessary to operate the church.
We believe you will experience a high degree of personal satisfaction when you discover your perfect place of service at Conway First Nazarene. We have observed that when you volunteer your time to participate in CFN ministries, you become a part of CFN and CFN becomes your church home. For that reason, we encourage each person that attends Conway First Church of the Nazarene to find their place of service in one or more of our ministries.
There is a common thread running through all our ministries at CFN. Each of our ministries is totally dependant on the dedicated commitment of countless volunteers for its success.
Volunteer opportunities abound at CFN. These varied opportunities occur in every area of the church. We can help you find the perfect volunteer situation for you. Opportunities exist for the person with a little or a lot of time to invest. Opportunities for intermittent, annual, monthly and weekly service are available. When you determine how much time you can invest, we can help you find your place of service.
There is one area of ministry where everyone can and should participate on a daily basis. We can all PRAY. Without the prayers of its people, Conway First Church of the Nazarene can not accomplish anything.
There are many tasks around the church that must be accomplished for our church to be effective. We will continue to seek out volunteers to meet these needs and future needs as we reach out in new areas, but we never want to overlook the importance of the prayers of our people for our church and church family.
